The Zombie and How To Kill It. Part 1

At the start of what could be a zombie infestation, one of the first things you need to realise is that, that “thing” in front of you is Not your Mom, your Aunt or your Grandma who passed away last month or a few years ago. That person is still dead.

If you are seeing news reports of zombie activity in or local to your area and that thing in front of you moves like a zombie, acts like a zombie and does not react to any of the usual stimulus that they would if they were still alive, then chances are that they are a zombie.

If they seem to have no reaction (by no reaction I mean, zero reaction at all) to pain or touch and they are grabbing at you and trying to chow down on you then yeah, you have just encountered your first zombie, Z, walker, Rottter, what ever you choose to call them. One of them is in front of you and it is looking at you as though you are an all you can eat buffet.

Now is the time to act, like it or not, you are going to have to kill this thing, if you don’t it will do everything in its power to kill you and it will not stop until either, it catches and kill you or, something else catches it’s attention.

It is said that the best way to “kill” a zombie is by killing it’s brain, this can be done a few ways.

Blunt force trauma to the head and brain, a knife or bullet to the head, either through the side/temple area of the head or through the eye socket, or by completely removing the head from the body.

This, in the early days of a zombie infestation is possibly going to be one of the hardest things you will have to do, especially of you once knew this thing as a person. Sorry, but, that person is no longer here.

As I said earlier in this post. That person is gone, what you are looking at now is a shell, an automaton, a thing that has no feelings, no memory of you and no immotional baggage at all, and it absolutely will not stop.

I know that in this post I have painted a pretty grim picture of what we are facing, but it’s best we do not sugar coat the situation. We will look more into how to mentally and physically prepare for such an event in future posts and videos.

Until then. Stay safe.

Are We Heading For A Zombie Apocalypse?

You don’t need me to tell you that 2020 and for the most part 2021 have been bad years, for some, an absolute nightmare. As we draw to the end of 2021 you might be wondering what 2022 has in store for us, will it be better than the last two years or worse..

Well way back in the 1600’s, Nostradamus a French astrologer, physician and reputed seer, who is best known for his book Les Prophéties, wrote about how a scientist will create a biological weapon, turn it into a virus and turn humanity into zombies (interpretation by an astrologer).

Nostradamus predicted a zombie apocalypse in 2021

“Few young people: half−dead to give a start. Dead through spite, he will cause the others to shine, And in an exalted place some great evils to occur: Sad concepts will come to harm each one, Temporal dignified, the Mass to succeed. Fathers and mothers dead of infinite sorrows, Women in mourning, the pestilent she−monster: The Great One to be no more, all the world to end.”– Nostradamus.

Although Nostradamus predicted that this would happen in 2021, there are one or two things we should bear in mind.

1: At the time of writing this blog post we still have two month left until the year ends.

2: What if, the astrologist who interpreted the prediction was a year out?

We should also consider the idea that this virus is already out there, this is pure speculation on my part, I have absolutely no proof what so ever, but, it could already be happening, just slowly.

Of course the chances of humanity going head long into a zombie apocalypse has an almost zero chance if happening, but after what we went through in 2020 and in 2021, we could ask “What next”?

Zombie apocalypse? Alien invasion? What if one or both of these were to happen? What if…

Most people from the Emergency Preparedness community would say that, you should start by being prepared for what is more likely to happen in the area you live in, once you are ready for that, then and only then, if you feel you need to, you should start preparing for what is not as likely to happen, but could.

With this in mind I would like to Journal how to survive a zombie apocalypse or alien invasion.

I do want to point out that I do not want to get into prepping and survivalist theories and techniques, I have done that in the past, I say we look at the worst possible situation and get ready to survive the coming zombie apocalypse/alien invasion. After all, if we are ready for that, we are ready for anything.

(Note: Do I actually think that there is going to be a zombie apocalypse? No, no I don’t but, I do think that using this premise as a backdrop for the blog posts and videos I want to make in the future would be fun and if the CDC can dedicate part of their website to advising how to survive a zombie apocalypse, I certainly can).
