I think I should start by saying that I am not a doctor and I know nothing about feet, other than they have five toes on them and live at the end of our legs. I should also point out that I`m not getting paid for writing this. Saying that, lets start.
I have a condition called Plantar fasciitis in my left foot which means I find it painful to walk. This time last year it got to a point where I had to use a walking stick to help me get around, yep, it got that bad.
So far this year I have not had to pick up my stick when I leave my front door. Do you want to know how?
I still have Plantar fasciitis and I still find it painful to walk unless I am wearing my soft soled Dr. Martin boots.
I know they are a bit dirty and they are definitely well worn but they are my favourite article of clothing right now.
The boots were bought direct from Dr. Martin`s on line store for £58.00 I was lucky enough to visit their store during a New Year sale so managed to snag a pair for almost half price. The Dr. Martin soft sole boot and shoe comes in a variety of styles and colours.
I have to say that almost right away I could feel a difference but, the real difference came when I found these inserts in my local Aldi store.
The inserts cost about £3.50 and once they were put in my boots, it felt like I was walking on air, literally. Today I can walk for miles without any pain, if I put the inserts into my other shoes or boots I do still get some pain, not as much as I used to but there is still pain.
When I put the boot and the sole together, wow.
I know that having to pull out upwards of £100+ for a pair of boots might be a bit much for some people, I was lucky, I got mine in a sale, but it was well worth the initial outlay.
Again, I feel I need to point out that I am not a doctor and that the boots and inserts worked for me. It might not work the same way for you. 🙂
